OFFICER NOMINATION
FAQs
-
Our church leadership comprises two distinct and complementary roles, as is set forth in the Bible: Elders and Deacons. No one role is more important than the other, as each is called to perform different responsibilities within the church.
The Elders are concerned with the government and shepherding of the church and are held to the standard of character listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The Deacons are concerned with the physical needs of the church and with her ministries of mercy. Deacons are held to the standard of character listed in 1 Timothy 3, and we see the institution of the office of Deacon in Acts 6.
