Christ Redeemer has three primary types of Groups:

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community Groups are co-ed groups of 6-16 men and women whose primary focus is to help participants experience gospel-centered relationships through fellowship, spiritual conversation, and prayer. Groups are easy on-ramps for those new to the faith, the church, or the Lowcountry. Little-to-no preparation is required. Groups are led by Christ Redeemer members and meet in church member’s homes throughout the community 2-4 times per month.

BIBLE STUDIES

Bible studies are gender-specific groups of men or women who help both the believer and those exploring the faith to develop biblical literacy in the context of gospel-centered relationships. Groups are led by Christ Redeemer members, and meet at various locations, including the church, member’s homes and area businesses.

DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS

Discipleship Groups are gender-specific groups of 4-6 men or women whose primary focus is to train and multiply disciple-makers. These high commitment groups help men and women develop the beliefs, character, and skills of a disciple-maker through the process of Life-On-Life Missional Discipleship (www.lifeonlife.org). Groups meet weekly (September through May).

All members of Christ Redeemer are also part of a Parish. Parishes are a key part of our church's strategy for caring for our congregation, and ensuring its spiritual health. Parishes are groups of church members of all ages who live in the same neighborhood or community. All Parishes are led by an elder at Christ Redeemer who serves as a the lay-pastor / shepherd for the individuals and families in their Parish. This ensures all members of Christ Redeemer maintain a meaningful connection to the leadership of Christ Redeemer and have a dedicated leader they know and on whom they can call when they need prayer, care, or are navigating a season of crisis.
